Pastor's Invitation

Welcome!   We are glad you found your way to our home page. In this site, you will find information about our church life and ministries.
As we gather for worship on Sunday morning, we share in this statement: “We are a Christian community where faith grows, hope is found, and love is demonstrated.” What does this statement mean?
It means the people of Kenwood Park Church are committed to sharing the love and the light of Jesus Christ with our neighborhood and with our world. All are welcome to participate in our worship and fellowship. We actively share Christ and Christ’s love as we extend a warm invitation to the neighborhood. But we know that it is not enough simply to welcome and invite. We also share works of care and compassion here in the community, as well as across the world through our ties with the broader United Methodist Church beyond our walls.
We are a church committed, also, to nurturing the inner life of the soul. This inner life is that place of great mystery deep within every person. It is what Christ spoke of when He said, “”You must be born from above” (John 3:7) and, more pointedly, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for me will find it” (Matthew 16:24-25). We actively share this nurturing in our worship, classes, and small groups.
This is a brief introduction to who we are as a Church. Browse through this website to learn more. Better yet, visit us in person at our Sunday morning 9:00 AM service.
